Career Links Project In conjunction with the FILM project, the Career Links project was funded by the Commonwealth Government to identify work placements, work experience and employment for students. The project initially identified over 700 businesses offering over 3,000 places (all types). This response represented over ten per cent of all businesses recorded in the database, and demonstrated the effectiveness of a whole-of-community approach to address local issues. (See Reports)
Small Business Training Programs for NESB Businesses This rolling project identified non-english speaking business proprietors of Vietnames, Chinese, Cambodian and other origin to participate in Cert 2 to Cert 4 Small Business Training programs underwritten by the NSW Department of Education & Training. The project was a major success, introducing compliance to nesb businesses, developing trust with local and State Government officers and providing participants with, in most cases, their first formal education qualification..
